September Newsletter

Hi Brothers,

While I try to figure out where the summer went, I wanted to put a few items out for September. First, I hope you all had a restful couple of months. I had the pleasure of attending several events with many of you over the summer, like the Outdoor MM Degree, the Oklahoma Indian MM Event, and the DGM rollout. Looking ahead to September and beyond, here are some items to share:

Fifth District Annual Meeting: September 13
The annual meeting for the Fifth District Association will be at Wauseon Lodge on Sept 13 at 10 am. The purpose is to review the budget for next year and see how we lined up from last year as well. We also elect officers for the 2026 year and discuss upcoming events for the next year. The dress is business casual, and we would love to have a good-sized crowd there.

Steak Fry and Stated Meeting: September 16
We return to our labors on September 16 with the traditional steak fry starting at 6 pm. Dress us business casual due to the unpredictable weather of mid-September.  Please RSVP to me by September 5th so I can place the steak order.  If you'd like to bring something, please get in touch with me or bring a dessert to share!  RSVPs so far (Szczublewski (2), Griewahn (3), Claar (2), Nightingale (1), Lumbrezer (2), Lawrence (1), Smith (1), Earl (1), Perry (1)).  If you do not see your name here, please let me know how many will be attending with you!

Funeral Service for Nelson Bell: September 17
Services for Nelson Bell will be at 10 am on Sept 17 at Providence Lutheran on 8131 Airport Hwy, Holland, OH 43528.  The dress will be jacket and tie.  There is a strong possibility one of our past grand masters will be in attendance.  Steve Grindle presented Nelson with his 70-year award a few years back.

Masonic Lodges on the Air: September 27
Are you an Amateur Radio Operator, interested in Amateur Radio, or do you know an amateur radio operator? A few of us from Fulton Lodge started an event called Masonic Lodges on the Air a few years back, and this year, on September 27, is our 5th year of running this radio content/event.  A few of us will be setting up HF radio equipment from 10 am to 6 pm and seeing if we can connect with other lodges during that time frame.  Stop up and say hi!
